Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase, RNase H Minus, Point Mutant is an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase that synthesizes, from a primer, a complementary DNA strand using RNA as a template. The RNase H inactivation improves synthesis of full-length cDNA, enhances thermostability, and increases the affinity to the template-primer.
Increased thermostability
The possibility of a higher incubation temperature is associated with reduction of early terminations from RNA secondary structure and reduced non-specific priming.
Improved full-length cDNA yield
Inactivation of the RNase H domain precludes the degradation of the sample RNA by the RT.
First-strand DNA synthesis
Primer extension
Reverse transcriptase for regular end-point and real-time RT-PCR
Product Source
Recombinant expression in E. coli. The enzyme contains 13 additional amino acids at the N-terminus and 10 amino acids at the C-terminus.

150 mM NaCl
1 mM DTT
0.1 mM EDTA
0.01% IGEPAL

Enzyme Purity
Single band as judged by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
Free of Host DNA
No host DNA detected as determined by RT-PCR in at least 480 units.
Free of RNases
Integrity of RNA sample >80% after incubation with 480 units of enzyme for 30 min at 37 °C.
