INTENDED USE

Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase, RNase H Minus, Point Mutant is an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase that synthesizes, from a primer, a complementary DNA strand using RNA as a template. The RNase H inactivation improves synthesis of full-length cDNA, enhances thermostability, and increases the affinity to the template-primer.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Increased thermostability

The possibility of a higher incubation temperature is associated with reduction of early terminations from RNA secondary structure and reduced non-specific priming.

  • Improved full-length cDNA yield

Inactivation of the RNase H domain precludes the degradation of the sample RNA by the RT.

APPLICATIONS

  • First-strand DNA synthesis

  • Primer extension

  • Reverse transcriptase for regular end-point and real-time RT-PCR
